SMALL BABY BLANKETS COME UP BIG WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT IT!
When shopping for baby blankets it is important to read the dimensions. When it comes to baby blankets, size matters.
Often times, parents are unpleasantly surprised when they unwrap the baby blankets they have just bought and discover they are almost too small to cover, much less wrap baby. Although it is not always the case, this is especially likely when purchasing baby blankets that come in packs of 3 or more. If it seems like the price is almost too low it may be because the blankets are too small or of poor quality.
If you find you have bought a “bargain” package of baby blankets that seem impractically small for the use you had intended, don’t despair and rush to return them. Experienced moms can tell you; by thinking a bit outside the box you’ll find there are many important uses for your smaller baby blankets. Here are some examples:
Have you ever experienced a major but unexpected, shall we say, bodily function episode by baby in the car, maybe on a road trip? Don’t worry – you will. When you do, you’ll probably be very grateful if you still have those small baby blankets. After your best efforts at emergency car seat damage control, those baby blankets are perfect for placing over ground zero until you have access to the required heavy-duty cleaning products.
Small baby blankets are great for laying on just about any public surface, especially in restrooms, on which you change baby. They’re useful, too, for using as cover while nursing or, in a pinch, as burp cloths. When your baby has been sick, a couple of baby blankets will come in handy as make-shift mattress pads or to cover the sheets you’ve changed already a half dozen times.
It’s a great idea to keep a couple small baby blankets tucked away in the diaper bag, stroller, backpack, baby carrier, or car for emergencies. Their uses are limited only by the number of emergencies your baby can throw at you!
